About Me

Dr. Pierre Pean, MD, brings extensive experience to our practice, specializing in psychiatry with a focus on dual diagnoses. He received his medical degree from the University of Haiti and has dedicated his career to helping individuals reintegrate into society as productive members. Dr. Pean has served in various leadership roles, including as Medical Director at Mandela and IATAC, where he works closely with adults facing mental health challenges.

With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Pean has held significant positions in prominent institutions, including Chief of Psychiatry at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, and Director of Psychiatry at Henderson Mental Health Center. His tenure in these roles has equipped him with a deep understanding of psychiatric disorders, enabling him to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to his patients.

Dr. Pean is particularly passionate about addressing the needs of individuals with Bipolar I Disorder and Schizophrenia, as evidenced by his role as Principal Investigator in a multicenter study at Golden Touch Clinical Research. His commitment to advancing mental health treatment is reflected in his dedication to research and clinical practice.
